WelcomeFire Island is a barrier Island off the south shore of Long Island. The Fire Island Ocean Rescue beaches include Atlantique, Dunewood, Fair Harbor, Kismet and Seaview. Operated by the Town of Islip, FIOR provides top notch safety to thousands of bathers each summer. In addition to Lifeguarding, the FIOR is very active in both local and national ocean rescue competitions.
